01
School-managed accounts
If your account or records were created by a school, first contact that school's authorized administrator. The school controls most operational records and can correct information, deactivate access, or submit an authorized deletion request to SkoolMatic. Parents, guardians, students, teachers, and staff should identify the school and the person whose records are involved.
02
Request deletion from SkoolMatic
Email support@skoolmatic.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request”. Include your name, registered phone number or email, school name and school code if applicable, the app or service used, and a clear description of the account or information you want deleted. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, payment-card details, or unnecessary identity documents by email.
03
Verification
We may verify the request through registered contact details and may confirm authority with the relevant school before changing or deleting school-controlled records. This protects students, schools, and users against unauthorized deletion. If additional evidence is necessary, we will request only what is reasonably needed.
04
What happens next
After verification, we will confirm whether the request can be completed directly, must be authorized by the school, or is subject to a retention requirement. Eligible information will be deleted or de-identified within a reasonable operational period. Copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until the normal backup cycle completes.
05
Meta app data
If you interacted through Meta or WhatsApp, include the phone number used and the relevant school or SkoolMatic sender name so we can locate the correct delivery or conversation records. You may also remove permissions made available by Meta, but doing so does not automatically delete records that the school must retain.
06
Information we may retain
We may retain limited records when required for legal, tax, accounting, safeguarding, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or audit purposes. We may also retain a minimal record of the request and its completion. Retained information will remain restricted and will not be used for unrelated purposes.
